I wouldn't doubt the early FDA approved implant procedures were comparably radical (D3 Gold). I've seen footage of the removal of implants whose outer casings had dissolved. They had the barrier concept down, but were apparently uniformed about the biodegradation which would ensue, be it enzymes, ph, fouling, or what have you.
Just saying that a credential won't ever guarantee your safety, but, then again, IMO many doctors are simply practitioners as opposed to scientists, which by all rights they should be. They robably become blinded by greed to some extent and fall into the habit of "providing" certain approved procedures (relatively mindlessly).
And, a person like this woman is never going to go in for the work a science education entails, and she will likely still be able to find willing customers.
This is very common. Women can go to the expensive plastic surgeon to get some fat injected into their lips and butts (D3 Gold). Instead, some go to local practitioners. After all, what's it take to inject some fat into someone's butt?
Once in a while something goes horribly wrong and someone dies and someone else gets arrested. But a lot of this goes on under the radar and it's considered normal by the people who do it.
I haven't heard of a guy going in for oh man, what kind of idiot freaking guy was this? Inject silicone into ... urrrghhhh.
Anyway humans, they are the most interesting species, aren't they?
Remember: Any theory of artificial human-like intelligence must account for this behavior (D3 Gold). I guarantee you that the people involved in this little episode are (or were) human. No AI could possibly be so dumb.
